In recent years numerous studies have focused on the understanding of the interactions between proteins and nanoparticles (NPs). In this work we focus on the interaction of bovine α-lactalbumin (BLA), the second important whey protein, with magnetic nanoparticles (MP). The adsorbed BLA on the magnetic nanoparticles surface leads to a well-organized layer (protein corona) preserved its biological identity. the range of physic-chemical approaches including, zeta potential analysis, UV-vis spectroscopy, steady state fluorescence, CD spectroscopy and molecular docking studies were employed for investigating the MP-BLA corona.
