چكيده فارسي :
In recent years, microalgae have been gaining attraction as a renewable source in biodiesel production. The objective of the present study is to illustrate the application of high frequency ultrasound technique (1.7 MHz) in direct and indirect systems to enhance lipid extraction by wet biomass of green microalgae Chlorella sp. The extract solvent methanol/chloroform (1:2 %v/v) was used. The lipids extraction yield of 6.21 and 3.57 fold in direct and indirect systems, respectively. These results indicated that direct sonication better promoted in capturing lipids released from wet biomass due to higher induced power intensities to the Chlorella sp. cells.
