In this paper, a 12-pulse rectifier topology with hysteresis controller is proposed with lower than 3% input current total harmonic distortion. The designed rectifier has two diode bridges each connected to a Boost converter. The autotransformer is used as a phase shift transformer, which results in a significant reduction in the volume of the transformer. The Boost converter inductor current is computed from the theoretical equations for conditions where the input current is sinusoidal. Then, this current is implemented by the hysteresis controller. The designed controller has good flexibility and can be used in a different operating conditions. The simulation results show that the input current THD is less than 3% by using the proposed rectifier with hysteresis controller
