Doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind power system may suffer from high frequency resonance (HFR), due to impedance interaction between wind system and the network. Impedance modeling of DFIG along with its partial back-to-back converters and the medium-length π-model dis-tribution line is conducted in this study. Analyses of HFR is carried out based on impedance models using bode diagrams. Influences of different factors such as distribution line distance and converters’ current controller gains have been investigated. Moreover, the aggravation of HFR oscillations on voltage and current waveforms are compared. Time-domain simulation in MATLAB-SIMULINK software has been adopted to validate impedance modeling and analyses.
