Abstract—This paper proposes an FCS-MPC approach incorporates
in the primary control with improved performance for
islanded AC microgrids. The control target of the MPC controller
is generated by a droop controller with deliberately designed
virtual impedance. The proposed virtual impedance allows the
controller to eliminate the harmonic components caused by the
nonlinear load. With the proposed MPC, reference tracking is
realized with fast dynamics and plug-and-play features. Finally,
experiment results validate the effectiveness of the proposed
method.
