In this work were investigated the conversion of CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons) to useful chemicals such as
hydro fluorocarbons (HFCs). This situation resulted in two major research and development activities.
The first involves the design and achievement of routes to the large-scale synthesis of CFC alternatives,
particularly 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane, CF3CH2F(HFC-134a), since it can be used as a drop in replacement
for the widely used refrigerant,CCl2F2[1]. The second activity involves to converted CFCs to useful and
environmentally-friendly chemical feedstock [2].The aim of this work was conversion of CCl2F-CClF2
(CFC-113) over isomerization and dismutation and hydrodechlorination reaction to 1,1,1,2-
tetrafluoroethane, CF3CH2F (HFC-134a).
In this work were investigated the conversion of CFCs (Chloro-Fluoro-Carbons) to useful chemicals such
as hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
