Fins or extended surfaces in heat transfer are referred to as surfaces that are used to enhance the heat transfer between the surface and the environment in order to increase the heat transfer rate. In some cases, in order to turbulence the flow of air, the fins are made as non-flat plates, and in order to increase the fin's efficiency, they are made as porous. The main object of this study is the investigation of the temperature distribution and efficiency of porous and non-porous annular fins with the rectangular cross section under dry and fully wet-surface conditions. The mathematical model was developed based on the energy and mass conservation laws. The governing equations were solved by the central finite difference method. Then, the effective parameters on the fin efficiency such as thermal conductivity coefficient, thickness, porosity and relative humidity were investigated. Finally, the result showed that the maximum efficiency on porous fins was in dry-surface conditions and the minimum efficiency was related to non-porous fins with fully wet-surface
