Dodecyl Benzene is an organic compound and it isa very significant substance in producing numerous chemical products. One of the most important and economical methods for Dodecyl benzene productionis through applying petrol and Dodecyl in low temperature and high pressure. In this study, it has been tried to simulate the complex and delicate process of producing Dodecyl benzene and carry out optimization in this process in order to optimize the required amount of energy consumption with the best model. In this simulation, various models such as (Peng Robinson, SRK, NRTL,…) were used. However, the best results were obtained by (NRTL) model. This study was based on scrutinizing distillation towers and obtained results were compared with real data and there existed insignificant discrepancy. Ultimately, optimization caused (32%)decrease in energy consumption. In addition, in this research, we tried to make economic calculations for returning capital investment. Calculations has been expressed in separate tables.
