In this study, for first time,a triple-component nanofibrouscomposite made ofpoly(ε-caprolactone), graphene oxide and quercetinhas been investigated asa wound dressing. The nanofiberous scaffolds are fabricated by electrospinning technique and characterized by FESEM, FTIR, and tensile stress assay. According to FESEM micrographs, the nanofiber scaffolds with rather uniform diameters are formed successfully at selected operational conditions. The average diameter of nanocomposite fibers are decreased from 1200 nm to 700 nm upon GO participation. Additionally, the triple-component composite (i.e. PCL/GO/Q) shows higher tensile stress relative to PCL, showing proper interaction between GO and PCL. Also, the WST results prove an improvement in cell viability in the presence of graphenenanosheets. Although the primary results suggest the triple nanocomposite as a promising candidates for scaffold in wound dressing, the results reported here still needs to be supported with some complementary data such as antibacterial and animal tests.
