The purpose of this study is to synthesize a thin layer of acrylic acid on PolySulfone to reduce the fouling and increase the membrane's hydrophilic. This work was carried out using Photopolimerization of acrylic acid monomer in the presence of UV ray on the surface of the polysulfone. Contact angle, flux, surface point of zero charge and porosity were analyzed on the membrane. The contact angle analysis showed that the membrane of acrylic acid 0.75 (v/v%) with a 1 hour graft time is more hydrophilic than the crude membrane. The porosity results confirmed that 0.5(v/v%) acrylic acid membrane with a graft time of 1.95% had porosity higher than that of the crude membrane. The results of PZC showed that the crude membrane surface in pH= 5.9 and the membrane surface with 0.875(v/v%) acrylic acid and the graft time of 2 hours in pH=2.9 had a surface point of zero charge. The flux results indicate that the acrylic acid adhesion layer on the polysulfone surface leads to a decrease in flux, so that the membrane with the 1 hour graft time and 0.75 (v/v%) acrylic acid and graft time of 3 hours with 0.625 (v/v%) acrylic acid is lower flux than the crude membrane
