It is necessary to develop a hydrogel system with low viscosity in order to be pumped into oil well. Also the strength of the hydrogel is one of the most important challenges in the application of gel polymer. Therefore, investigating the effect of the presence of silica nanoparticles on the properties of gelant fluidity and gel strength were studied. The bottle and rheological tests were used to determine the gel strength in desired oil well temprater (90 °C). It was observed that using silica nanoparticles at 9 wt.% was caused the viscosity decreasing and also increased the strength of the gel from 521Pa to more than 26100Pa.
