In this study, the fouling behavior of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) membrane was analyzed. The membranes were prepared via nonsolvent induced phase separation method. The SEM images showed that all the membranes had finger-like structure. Contact angle and water flux results revealed that ABS membranes are hydrophilic membranes. Fouling properties of membranes were investigated during filtration of humic acid solution. The fouling mechanisms of membranes were also studied using classic models as well as combined models. The results showed that the best model fitted into the experimental data for membranes was the cake filtration model. For pure membrane, however, cake filtration-complete blockage model was in good agreement with the experimental data.
