Fuel cells offer a highly efficient and sustainable method of generating electricity. Hydrogen is the main feed of fuel cells. For hydrogen production, methane microreformers has high surface-to-volume ratio. Exploiting all areas of micro reformers is very important. Parallel microchannels has been shown to have good performance on eliminating dead volumes. Inlet and outlet configuration has great effect on the velocity distribution through microchannels. In this study four configurations were studied through simulation which were: one inlet/one outlet at same side;one inlet/two outlets at same side; one inlet/one outlet at opposite side;one inlet/two outlets at opposite side. Simulations were carried out using Gambit and Fluent softwares at 600 °C, 1 atm , with S/C=3 and feed flow rate of 100 cc/min to find the best arrangment of inlet/outlet arrangment. One inlet and two outlets on opposite side was found as the optimal arrangent by which velocity differences among channels was the lowest.
