Separation of α-la and β-lg from recostituted whey solution was investigated. For this, first pure water fluxes were measured for certainty of membrane structure. Then reconstituted whey solution was treated by microfiltration using TiO2-Boehmite ceramic membrane. Then the filtrate flow was subjected to ultrafiltration process by homemade nano composite ZrO2-TiO2 ceramic membrane. The durability of permeate flux was considered consequently. The results showed during up to 40 min, no fouling was occurred and the flux values stay on constant. Finally the SDS-PAGE electrophoresis analysis was done and confirmed that α-la content in ultrafiltration permeate flow is dominant component. In other words, the prepared membrane is high selective for α-la relative to β-lg.
