Gold and silver nanoparticles were synthesized with the size of ~10-40 nm and polyaniline (PANI) insitu nanocomposite with these plasmonic nanoparticles were prepared. The optical band gap of nanocomposite was determined with UV-Vis absorption analysis and four point probe. FESEM images also showed the rod shape of PANI and homogeneous dispersion of nanoparticles. Hydrochloric acid was used to oxidize aniline for improving electrical conduction. The results showed that the addition of Ag and Au nanoparticles could effectively change the band gap of PANI from 2.8 ev to 2.5 ev and 2.6 ev respectively. also the sheet resistance of Ag and Au nancomposite were determined 300 KΩ/sq and 0.2 MΩ/sq respectively.
