The manuscript deals with the coalescence of dimethyl disulfide droplets with the mother phase at a flat interface. Study of parameters affecting the efficiency of separation stage in the Merox process is important from practical point of view. in order to do so, a digital high-frame rate camera is used .The authors used response surface methodology to design the experiments that allow to check the influence of several parameters (including continuous phase density regulated by temperature and sodium hydroxide concentration, continuous phase to dispersed phase viscosity ratio, droplet diameter, ascent distance) on the "coalescence time" at reasonable costs. Validation s carried out by using experimental data reported.
