The Peng-Robinson (PR) equation of state (EOS) and three different mixing rules including van
der Waals one fluid, Ried & Panagiotopoulos and Kwak & Mansoori mixing rules are used to
calculate the solubilities of cinnamic acid, phenoxyacetic acid and 4-methoxyphenylaceticacid in
supercritical carbon dioxide at 308.2 to 328.2K. The results showed that the Ried &
Panagiotopoulos and Kwak & Mansoori mixing rules have good agreement with experimental
data. The results demonstrate that the mixing rule selection plays an important role on solubility
calculations using EOS.
