In this paper, drag coefficient of infinite quadrilobe catalyst with non-circular cross sections has been investigated by
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods and for this purpose FEMLAB Multiphysics V2.3 and finite element methods are
used. Influence of different number of particles (single, two, three and four particles) and oriented angle of particles on drag
coefficient have been investigated. Model validation has been done with comparison of reported experimental data and CFD
simulation results for infinite cylinder. The drag coefficient results for cross flow on infinite quadrilobe particle shows a
significant difference with cylindrical particle. With increasing of Reynolds number, the drag coefficient significant difference
with cylindrical particle.
