Stimuli responsive material was a group of material that notice recently. This material have a unique properties and
exhibit dramatic change in their properties to the environmental stimulus such as light, temperature, mechanical stress,
pH, ionic strength and etc. These groups of materials have a supramolecular structure. Supramolecular structure refer to
the molecule that assembly by using non-covalent interaction such as hydrogen bonding, π-π stacking, metal ligand
coordination, and Columbic force. Among varied class of this material the use of supramolecular gel were noticed and
preparing this gel by using transient metal ligand was investigate. Utilizing metal-ligand binding as the driving force for
the self-assembly a series of mechanically-strong metallo-supramolecular hydrogels, which exhibit dramatic reversible
responses to a variety of stimuli, including thermal, mechanical and chemical, have been prepared of a transient metal.
In this research the acrylamide gel was prepared by using Cr(NO3)3 as metal ligand interaction that cause cross-linking.
For investigate the composition of the gel, we use UV spectroscopy. This result shows that the ratio of acrylamide to
chromium (III) ion was 6:1 in supramolecular structure.
