هوش مصنوعي مجموعه اي از فناوري هايي است كه ماشين را قادر مي سازد با تقليد از توانايي هاي انساني از قبيل درك و كشف محيط پيرامون و قدرت يادگيري، به سطوح بالاتري از هوشمندي برسد. سامانه هوشمند مي تواند با استفاده از بينايي ماشين، پردازش صوت و ساير انواع حسگرها، دنياي اطراف خود را به طور فعال درك كرده و با موتورهاي استنتاج مانند پردازش تصوير، تشخيص گفتار و پردازش زبان طبيعي به تجزيه و تحليل و درك اطلاعات جمع آوري شده بپردازد. همچنين از طريق برنامه ريزي هوشمند، اين سامانه مي تواند بهترين دنباله اقدام را براي حضور مؤثر در دنياي واقعي پيدا كند كه اين توانايي ها با گذشت زمان و با استفاده از قدرت يادگيري از تجربه، افزايش خواهند يافت. لذا بررسي منافع و مزاياي بالقوه هوش مصنوعي در بخش هاي مختلف اقتصادي، اجتماعي، زيست محيطي و غيره موضوعي مهم و قابل بررسي است. هوش مصنوعي در حوزه-هاي اقتصاد و خدمات مالي، مسائل زيست محيطي، مسائل اجتماعي، كشاورزي، سلامت، حمل و نقل و مديريت شهري، آموزش، انرژي، صنعت، معدن و تجارت قابل كاربرد مي باشد. با توجه به اين كه اولين حوزه قابل تمركز براي ايران به منظور به كارگيري هوش مصنوعي، حوزه اقتصاد و خدمات مالي مي باشد، براي شفافيت و درك بهتر، اين حوزه از ميان ساير حوزه ها مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است و به منظور بررسي تأثير هوش مصنوعي در حوزه اقتصاد و خدمات مالي، از روش كتابخانه اي استفاده شده است. نتايج نشان مي دهد كه هوش مصنوعي در حوزه اقتصاد و خدمات مالي، در زير حوزه هاي بانك مركزي، صنعت بيمه، نظام مالياتي، حسابرسي، صنعت بانكداري و بازار سرمايه قابليت كاربرد دارد. روند اسناد منتشر شده جهان در زمينه كاربرد هوش مصنوعي در اقتصاد و خدمات مالي، به صورت صعودي و همچنين بر اساس تعداد اسناد منتشر شده در ايران نيز، روند صعودي مي باشد كه نتيجه گرفته مي شود اين حوزه در كشور ايران داراي اهميت بالايي مي باشد.
