All the systems that we are dealing with in nature interact within their environments, and isolating them is not a logical and scientific approach for recognizing how they evolve over time. In this regard, studying quantum systems alongside the effect of their surroundings can be investigated within the Markovian and Non-Markovian Regime. To mark the precision of our calculations, it is crucial to compare our theoretical results with corresponding experimental data. To achieve this, instead of using sophisticated and extravagant laboratories, we can use available Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) devices, such as IBM quantum computers, which are publicly accessible, to simulate how quantum systems act when taking environmental effects into consideration. In this paper, we are going to show how we can use conventional unitary gates applicable on IBM quantum computers to simulate the dynamics of a single qubit interacting within its environment using a collisional model approach, which is the key point for tackling the challenge of non-unitary dynamics of open quantum systems.
