One commonly employed method in the RCA subset is FMEA, leading to RPN calculation for risk assessment in identifying critical failures in specific equipment. This proactive fault detection process anticipates potential defects before occurrence, enabling operators to take preventive measures. This article centers on FMEA for common mechanical failures in Atlas Copco screw compressors, calculating RPN for each failure mode to determine critical failures. Solutions are proposed for cases with higher RPN percentages compared to others, enhancing the equipment s reliability through preemptive actions.
