Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is an aggressive malignant cancer which is unpredictable and illustrates high mortality. The most affected sufferers from GBM, are elder males. Surgical resection plus radiotherapy and temozolomide (TMZ) chemotherapy are the most feasible and approved methods which have been discovered in last decades. The blood-brain barrier (BBB) remains the main obstacle for chemotherapy and severely limits the choice of therapeutic agents. Smart drug delivery systems (DDS) allow drugs to circumvent the BBB and diminish systemic side effects and also detracts tumor volume. The aim of this article is to compile and compare recently developed cures.
