The effect of Covid-19 on the relationship between corporate diversification and cost of debt

در اين پژوهش رابطه بين تنوع سازي شركتي و هزينه بدهي با نقش تعديلي كوويد 19 بر اين رابطه در بين 115 شركت پذيرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران طي سال هاي 1395 الي 1400 مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است. تنوع سازي تجاري و تنوع سازي جغرافيايي به عنوان دو معيار براي اندازه گيري تنوع سازي شركتي به كار رفته است. تنوع سازي شركتي شكلي از استراتژي شركتي است كه بسياري از مديران براي بهبود عملكرد شركتشان از آن استفاده مي كنند. اين تحقيق از نظر هدف كاربردي و از نظر اجرا پيمايشي و همبستگي است. بر اساس نتايج تحقيق وجود ارتباط بين تنوع بخشي تجاري و هزينه بدهي در دوره قبل از كرونا و نقش تعديلي كوويد 19 بر اين رابطه( فرضيه اول و سوم) رد شد. وجود ارتباط بين تنوع بخشي جغرافيايي و هزينه بدهي در دوره كرونا و اثر تعديلي كوويد 19 بر اين رابطه(فرضيه دوم و چهارم) در دوره كرونا تاييد شد.

In this research, the relationship between corporate diversification and the cost of debt with the moderating role of Covid-19 on this relationship among 115 companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 1395 to 1400 has been investigated.Business diversification and geographic diversification have been used as two criteria to measure corporate diversification. Corporate diversification is a form of corporate strategy that many managers use to improve their company s performance. This research is applied in terms of purpose and survey and correlation in terms of implementation. Based on the results of the research, the existence of a relationship between business diversification and the cost of debt in the pre-corona period and the moderating role of covid-19 on this relationship (the first and third hypothesis) were rejected. The existence of a relationship between geographic diversification and cost of debt in the Corona period and the moderating effect of Covid-19 on this relationship (second and fourth hypotheses) were confirmed in the Corona period.
