Resistance is one of the basic concepts in the dictionary of every nation. Since ancient times, there have been a lot of people who have stood up against oppression and violence. So it can be said that the history of resistance literature has its roots in the distant past. Although the term resistance literature is related to contemporary centuries, but with a close look at the history of world literature, one can easily find many examples of this literature among the works of the predecessors. Resistance literature has grown and matured in countries whose people have tasted the bitter taste of war and have shown steadfastness in defending their land, culture, freedom and independence. It includes a collection of works that depict the resistance of a nation against foreign or domestic enemies whom had risen with effective expression and with respect for national and human values. It expresses the experience of people s struggles to free their land, religion and culture from the aggressors. Shoghi Bazee is one of the prominent figures of contemporary Lebanese poetry, who deals with various intellectual, social and historical issues in his poetry. In this article, the literature of resistance in the works of Palestinian and Lebanese authors like Shoghi Bazee and Ghassan Kanfani and its themes are discussed.
