Aim and Background: Candida species are the most common fungal infection in humans. Although three major classes of antifungals (echinocandins, polyenes, and azoles) are used to treat candidiasis, the increasing emergence of strains with intrinsic and acquired antifungal resistance poses a serious challenge to the treatment of Candida infections. In recent decades, increased development of the green synthesis of nanoparticles is inevitable because of its incredible applications in all fields of science. The aim of this study was to investigate the anti-Candida property of synthesized nanoparticles using plant seeds. Methods: The extract of Rhus coriaria L. seeds as a reducing agent and the capping agent was mixed with silver nitrate to synthesize silver nanoparticles. The produced silver nanoparticles were characterized by Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), XRD, FTIR, UV–vis spectroscopy. Results and discussion: The spherical-shaped silver nanoparticles were observed and it was found to be 80-100 nm range of sizes. The diffraction pattern also confirmed the higher percentage of silver with fine particle size. The anti-Candida property of synthesized nanoparticles was observed by the disk-diffusion method with standard strains of Candida albicans. Conclusion: The plant materials mediated synthesis of silver nanoparticles have comparatively rapid
