Aim: Assessment of indoor air pollutants because of their adverse effect on human health is of great importance. In this study, dispersion of volatile organic compound (VOC) in a residential building has been investigated with three different models. Numerical simulation using Fluent 6.3.26 has been compared to EPA indoor air quality models IAQX1.0F and i-SVOC. Materials and Methods: The building has been divided into proper zones and the characteristics of sources and sinks have been determined. The results of modeling have been compared to measurement and the performance of each model have been investigated. Results: The results show all three models had underestimated results compared to observation. The results of Fluent 6.3.26 were closer to the sampling results in most zones. Comparison of modeling results with sampling results show R2 = 0.96, R2=0.89 and R2=0 for Fluent 6.3.26, IAQX1.0F and i-SVOC respectively. Conclusion: The results suggest that i-SVOC has not the ability to model multiple zones and should be used in one-zone uniform concentration case only. The IAQX1.0F showed better results than i-SVOC because of its capability of multi-zone modeling.
