Silicon nanoparticles (SiNPs) and potassium sulfate have been reported to improve plant tolerance to water deficit stress, but their effects on canola have not been extensively studied. The objective of this paper was to investigate the effect of different levels of water deficit stress (0.8, 0.6, and 0.4 FC), different levels of Si-NPs (Si: 100, 200 and 300 mg kg−1 Si-NPs) and different levels Potassium sulfate (150 and 300 mg kg−1). A factorial experiment was carried out in three replications. The results indicated that under water deficit stress conditions, chlorophyll content, Stomatal conductance and transpiration were decreased. Also, application of Si significantly enhanced the tolerance of canola to water deficit stress by increasing photosynthetic characteristic. Application of 200 mg nano-Si kg−1 resulted in the best performance in canola.
