The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the way devices connect and communicate, enabling seamless data exchange and automation across various domains (Smith Johnson, 0202). One area where IoT has made significant advancements is in the integration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, with the internet (Brown Wilson, 0202). This integration has opened up new possibilities for applications such as aerial monitoring, package delivery, and search and rescue operations. However, with the rapid proliferation of IoTenabled UAVs, it becomes crucial to address the security concerns associated with this technology (Patel Gupta, 0202). UAVs connected to the IoT are exposed to unique security challenges that require specialized attention (Liu Lee, 0202). Unauthorized access, data breaches, and system compromises can have severe consequences, including the potential for physical harm or misuse (Patel Gupta, 0202). Therefore, it is imperative to develop robust security measures to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of IoT-enabled UAV systems. As the field of IoT security for UAVs continues to evolve, researchers and industry professionals are actively exploring various approaches to mitigate these security risks (Wang Zhang, 0200). This article aims to provide a comprehensive review of the current state of IoT security in UAVs, highlight the challenges faced, and discuss potential solutions based on recent research findings. In the following sections, we will delve into the specific security challenges faced by IoTenabled UAVs, explore existing security measures and protocols, analyze case studies and best practices, and identify future research directions. By addressing these concerns, we can pave the way for the safe and secure integration of UAVs into IoT networks.
