In an attempt to synthesize efficient photocatalyst we had prepared CuFe2O4-CuO nanoparticles by a facile microwave-assisted combustion reaction to degrade tetracycline-HCl (TCH) and ciprofloxacin-HCl (CIP) antibiotic pollutants in the solar spectrum range. The nanocomposite was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM)). The magnetic CuFe2O4-CuO has shown the macropores structure. Besides, this exhibited ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature. As a result, CuFe2O4-CuO could approximately eliminated 50 mg/L TCH and 20 mg/L CIP at about 70.8% and 42.7%, respectively after 150 min irradiation.
