A Review on the Effect of Mud Weight on Rate of Penetration

سيالات حفاري وظايف و ويژگي‌هاي زيادي دارند. يكي از مهم‌ترين ويژگي‌هاي سيال حفاري، چگالي يا وزن سيال مي‌باشد. در بسياري از عمليات‌هاي حفاري، مشكلات ناشي از كاهش سرعت حفاري (نرخ نفوذ) مي‌تواند منجر به هزينه‌هاي بسيار زيادي شود. يكي از پارامترهاي مهم و تأثيرگذار بر روي نرخ نفوذ، چگالي سيال حفاري مي‌باشد. از اين رو مطالعات زيادي در رابطه با تأثير چگالي سيال حفاري بر نرخ نفوذ چاه صورت گرفته است. در پژوهش حاضر، ابتدا سيال حفاري و وظايف آن معرفي شده است. در ادامه به توضيح نرخ نفوذ و عوامل مؤثر بر آن پرداخته شده است و در پايان تأثير چگالي سيال حفاري بر نرخ نفوذ مطرح و بررسي شده است.

Drilling fluids have many functions and features. One of the most important characteristics of the drilling fluid is the density or weight of the fluid. In many drilling operations, problems caused by reduced drilling speed (penetration rate) can lead to very high costs. One of the most important and influential parameters on the infiltration rate is the density of the drilling fluid. Therefore, many studies have been done in relation to the effect of drilling fluid density on the Rate of penetration. In the present research, drilling fluid and its functions are first introduced. In the following, the infiltration rate and the factors affecting it have been explained, and at the end, the effect of drilling fluid density on the infiltration rate has been discussed and investigated.
