The world has faced problems originating from the finite availability of fossil fuels, expensive petroleum, and the environmental issues raised by using traditional fuels. The increasing energy demand is evacuating fossil energy resources at a high rate. In addition, fossil fuel utilization has caused significant environmental problems, like greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Therefore, energy conservation and climate change are two basic driving factors that have placed renewable energy production at the top of the global agenda. This study has attempted to create a broad view of renewable fuels by introducing biofuels and mentioning their positive effects in reducing greenhouse gases
