Abstract: This paper aims to describe the adaptive Volt-var regulation in AC islanded microgrids (IMG). In the way, the behavior of (Q-V) caused by the influence of mismatched output impedances between four distributed energy resources (DER)s is illustrated in a radial IMG controlled with a traditional droop structure and an improved virtual impedance adaptive droop by using consensus protocol- based multi-agent system (MAS).
