This paper is developed to analyze Voltage-var regulation (VR) in AC islanded microgrids (IMG)s controlled via adaptive virtual impedance droop control (AVIDC). The IMG are implemented in a decentralized platform, independent of the high bandwidth communication (HBC) link. Since the decentralized control is classified into closed loop and open loop control, virtual synchronous generator controls and model predictive control (MPC)-based optimization control have been candidate to describe these two concepts, respectively. Furthermore, the results of waveforms are presented in the form of Simulink/ MATLAB.
