A discussion and comparison over Proxy and VPN technology

Bypassing internet filtering simply stands for circumventing internet censorship. A variety of softwares, techniques and methods with different ease of use, speed, security and risks for this purpose have been developed in recent decades. In this context, often VPN is used to connect to a remote computer or network in another area, city or country and send information in a fully secure and encrypted manner. This paper is a survey on several famous filter breakers in order to analyze each one separately and make a comparison. We will introduce the types of protocols used in this context and discuss each one separately, and we will opt for the best protocol for VPN according to the capabilities and features of each and the level of user expectations.
