Designing a play station by applying colors in “Six thinking hats” technique

The present research focused on designing a play station for children in order to improve their creativity skills. The designed play station has been based on “Six Thinking Hats” technique, which was developed by Edward De Bono in 1994. Six variable occupations and jobs have been introduced through the game as six adjustable hats, which applied as a teaching method in order to develop creative thinking regarding De Bono’s technique. The paly station is applied a combinations of dramatic play and coloring games, which the both are mostly considered as an effective method to improve children’s creativity skills. Similar hats in De Bono’s theory have been replaced by different hats in six different colours, on the basis of six applied colours in the six thinking hats theory, in the game. The designed play can improve children’s awareness and knowledge about their future jobs and helping them to be familiar with the social behaviors in a visual attracted method.
