Investigation of physical and mechanical properties of decolorized blue jeans with KMnO4

Now a days decolorized blue jeans are one the most popular clothes. Numerous methods are utilized to delocalize blue jeans. Comfortably of decolorized jeans fabrics is one of the most important issues. In the present study potassium permanganate is used and the effect of solution concentration, temperature and treatment time was investigated. Color changes of the samples was measured. Tensile strength of treated samples showed rare reduction. The results of Dynamic contact angle and moisture content revealed the comfortable is improved with decolorizing of blue jeans with KMnO4. By improvement at the solution concentration, solution temperature and treatment time showed rare Difference in decolorizing blue jeans. As a result it can be said treatment mechanism of potassium permanganate on the blue jeans fabric is at the moment.
