ON M-GROUPS AND THEIR SUBGROUPS: A REVIEW

A finite group G is called an M-group, if all its complex irreducible characters are monomial; that is, they are induced by a linear character of a subgroup of G. It is known that a quotient of an M-group again is an M-group. Hence an important question arises: are the subgroups of an M-group, M-group or not? The answer is no, in general. Here, we investigate some results concerning this question
