Abstract: In this study we have obtained higher
quality images from the confocal microscope using
adaptive optics. We corrected the aberrations due to the
imperfection of optical devices, by an electromagnetic
deformable mirror with 52 actuators. The mirror was
controlled by PCI cards and sound card through the
simulated annealing algorithm. SA was implemented
using the integration of Visual C++ and MATLAB.
