Abstract— Recently, a new fractional-order chaotic system has been proposed and dynamical analysis has been investigated. In this paper, we propose an adaptive controller for synchronization of two master and slave systems in which the dynamical equations obey this new fractional-order chaotic dynamics. The synthesis of the fractional-order error system is carried out based on the Lyapunov Theorem. Compared to common Lyapunov-based synchronization methods for fractional-order chaotic systems, the Lyapunov Theorem is extended to systems with constant and 3rd order terms. Numerical simulations shows the validity of the proposed adaptive synchronizing controller.
