CFD simulation of heat transfer around a cylindrical solid immersed in a fluidized bed of small particles

A computational fluid dynamic (CFD) model was developed to simulate the hydrodynamics and heat transfer of gas-solid flow in a fluidized bed. In this work the existence of heat carrier on heat transfer to a cylindrical metal bar was investigated. Pressure, velocity and temperature was investigate at different height and width of bed. Simulation results are in agreement with experimental data or common engineering knowledge of process.
