Abstract :
Nâbi, one of the important figures of 17th century Turkish literature (d.1124 / 1712), wrote two addendum to Siyer-i Veysî. Nâbi’s addendum are the follow-up to Siyer-i Veysî. Therefore, in these works Nâbi was dependent on Siyer-i Veysî s Siyer (Sirahs Rasul Allah) in terms of language, style and content structure. Siyer-i Veysî benefited from some Arabic and Persian resources while writing his Siyer (Sirahs Rasul Allah). Nâbi also benefited from some resources while writing his addendum. These resources consist of, particularly Holy Qur an and hadith, various Sirahs Rasul Allah, history books and some divans. In this study, sources which were used in the work are presented and some examples are given from the sources.
