  • Abstract
    Total quality management, information technologies and productivity are concepts gained importance in today’s changing and developing market conditions for business. Thus, the purpose of this study is to measure the effect of information technology usage in Total Quality Management (TQM) practices on organizational productivity from the perspective of business managers. In the context of this purpose, a survey research was performed on organizations operating in Van Organized Industrial Zone. Descriptive screening model is adopted in this study and the data obtained from 75 managers were analyzed. Results show that, while managers’ perceptions about the impact of information technology usage in quality applications on organizational productivity do not vary according to personal demographic factors like gender, age, position and job tenure; they vary according to level of education. Besides, while managers’ perceptions about the impact of information technology usage in quality applications on organizational productivity do not vary according to organizational factors like market, ISO ownership, the presence of TQM philosophy, scope, legal structure, level of TQM implementation, ISO type and duration of TQM application; they vary according to the number of employees and annual turnover amounts.
