Abstract :
The present study investigates school adjustment differences of 200 children preschool children aged 5-6 and enrolled in Bingöl city centre preschools, according to peer victimisation variable. The data of the present study has been collected using survey model. Data collection tools were Peer Victimisation Scale and School Adjustment Teacher Rating Scale for 5-6 Year Old Children. Peer Victimisation Scale had been originally developed by Ladd and Kochenderfer-Ladd and its validity – reliability studies were conducted by Gülay (2008 School Adjustment Teacher Rating Scale for 5-6 Year Old Children had been originally developed by Ladd, Kochenfender and Coleman, translated, and its validity–reliability studies conducted by Önder and Gülay (2010). Data analysis is made using “Pearson Moments Multiplier Correlation Coefficient”, “Independent T-test” and “Simple Linear Regression Analysis”. The results of the present study have revealed exposure to peer victimisation leads to differences in school adjustment scores vary has an impact on various levels on school adjustment of both boys and girls.
