The Relationship Between Quality of School Life and Job Satisfaction Perceptions of Teachers in Elementary Schools
Abstract :
In this study, the relationship between quality of school life and job satisfaction perceptions of teachers in elemantary schools were investigated. In relation to social demographic variables; the relationship between the perceptions of life quality of teachers and the perceptions of job satisfaction has been determined. In this study to measure job satisfaction Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire and 20 item job satisfaction scale (which was modified by Gündüz (2008)) that is used in surveys of Tunacan (2005) and Doğan (2005) were used. To measure the quality of school life the Quality of School life Questionnaire developed by Sarı (2007) and revised by İlmen (2010) was used. The analysis of the obtained data, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t- test, ANOVA and Pearson Product Moment tests were used. The population of this study consisted of primary and secondary school teachers who worked in the center of Çanakkale in 2014-2015 academic year. The total sample of 310 people, including 210 women and 100 men. A significant positive relationship between the perception of job satisfaction and the perception of quality of school life of primary and secendary school teachers was found.
