Abstract :
The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention studies aimed to prevent and decrease burnout. Literature review of burnout intervention studies was conducted according to studies having pre and post-test measurements that based on Maslach Burnout Model which was stated burnout as a three dimension construct. In database search, 26 intervention studies were selected as relevant to purpose and criterion of the present study. The findings show that so many methods including art therapy as well as relaxation with machine were implemented in these studies. Also, it was obtained that the interventions were usually designed according to individual base. 23 (88 %) of the studies was found to be effective in terms of three dimensions of the burnout, namely emotional exhaustion,depersonalization /cynicism and lack of personal accomplishment.Interventions were examined and compared according to samples, content, effectiveness, similarities and differences and also recommendations were made for future investigations.
