Title Of Article :
Development of a Team Perception Scale for School Administrators
Abstract :
This study aims to develop a scale to determine how primary education school principals perceive themselves and teachers at their schools as a team. The 50 item scale was administered to 130 primary education school principals. As a result of AFA, 32 items which were accumulated in three factors and had the sufficient item-factor loading were selected. For construct validity, DFA and HFA were conducted to determine whether or not the scale measured the general structure of the scale (team perception) and its three dimensions named by the experts (adherence and collaboration, team spirit, job satisfaction and trust). For the reliability of the combined scale and the subscales, Cronbach Alpha and McDonald Omega coefficients were calculated. As a result, a reliable and a valid scale that comprises a general factor and three sub factors were obtained.
