Abstract :
Since the inborn hearing loss or hearing loss resulted from any reason in the following period affect the cognitive, social and academic development fields, especially language development in the early period, the quality of the applications and support services in the educational enviroments are significant. This study intends to examine the opinions of the teachers regarding the education of hearing impaired students, auditory-verbal education, auditory-verbal education, sign language, communication and language development who work in two different reverse inclusion pre-school education institutions in which the students with cochlear implant or hearing aid are attending. The semi-structured interview technique, a frequently used data collection technique in qualitative research designed as a descriptive research was used in the study. The findings obtained at the end of the research were described under six main themes: inclusion for the hearing impaired students, duties and responsibilities, effective teaching for the hearing impaired students, family participation, problems and solution suggestions, teacher competency. In order to enable the hearing impaired students to receive a more qualified education, both auditory-verbal approach and sign language known and effectively applied by the teachers may contribute to the academic success and interaction of the hearing impaired students with the society they live in by affecting the educational regulations positively.
