  • Abstract
    This study reports the fishing gears and fishing resources of coastal fisheries in Prince Islands (Istanbul). The technical characteristics of set net, handline and longlines in the island were determined according to the FAO catalogue. A total of 16 various types set nets of which 10 gill nets and the others trammel nets and 8 type hand/longlines were identified from coastal fisheries in the islands.
