Abstract
In this study, in order to determine the aquatic Coleoptera and aquatic-semiaquatic Heteroptera fauna in Lake Kartal (Beyağaç-Denizli province). Insects samples were collected in the summer periods of 2009-2011 years. As a result, 13 species and 1 subspecies of aquatic Coleoptera belonging to two families and 3 species and 2 subspecies of Heteroptera belonging to 3 families, were determined from the Lake Kartal. Furthermore, the some physico-chemical parameters were measured in situ; water temperature, electrical conductivity, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen and saturation. Except the species, Hydroglyphus geminus (Fabricius, 1792), Agabus bipustulatus (Linnaeus, 1758), Agabus conspersus (Marsham, 1802) and Dytiscus semisulcatus (O.F. Müller, 1776) from Coleoptera order, other species and subspecies were recorded for the first time from Kartal Lake.
